Guy Lemieux

Guy Lemieux is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of British Columbia. His research focuses on programmable logic and computing systems, multiprocessor and computer architecture. His work includes FPGA architecture and CAD, FPGA and VLSI circuit design, computer architecture, and parallel computing systems. He has contributed to interconnect design for FPGAs, resulting in a book published in 2003. He received a Best Paper Award at the 2004 IEEE International Conference on Field-Programmable Technology and a Bronze Leaf Certificate paper award at the 2008 CMC Microsystems and Nanoelectronics Research Conference. His teaching includes courses such as CPEN 211, CPEN 311, CPEN 312, CPEN 391, CPEN 411, and CPEN 512.

Guy Lemieux is a faculty member in the Faculty of Applied Science at the University of British Columbia, specializing in FPGAs, computer architecture, reconfigurable computing, parallel computing, and computer and software systems. His research focuses on improving FPGA interconnect design, routing algorithms, and the development of efficient architectures for programmable logic. Lemieux has contributed to the design of interconnection networks, sparse crossbars, and overlay architectures for FPGAs, as well as explored vector processing and soft-core CPU accelerators.
