Alexandra Sasha Fedorova

Alexandra (Sasha) Fedorova is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of British Columbia, and serves as Program Director for the CPEN program. Her research focuses on the performance, usability, and energy-efficiency of computer systems, with an emphasis on the effective management of memory and CPU resources. She has contributed to the development of system software and teaches courses on operating systems, distributed systems, and Big Data. Fedorova holds a BA and PhD from institutions in the United States and has been affiliated with the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University. Her work includes consulting for MongoDB on enhancing the performance of their back-end key-value store, WiredTiger.
