Farshid Agharebparast

Farshid Agharebparast is an Associate Professor of Teaching in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of British Columbia. Farshid Agharebparast is an Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia, specializing in Computer Networking, Computing and Embedded Systems, and Learning Technologies and Machine Learning. His research focuses on enhancing Quality of Service (QoS) in wireless and backbone networks, with an emphasis on modeling and analysis techniques. He has contributed to the development of algorithms for traffic estimation, resource allocation, and performance evaluation in multimedia networks. His work also explores stochastic network calculus and min-plus system theory for cross-layer design and optimization in wireless fading channels. Additionally, he has investigated student video-usage in engineering education and privacy-preserving mechanisms in 4G networks.
