Nick Jaeger

Nicolas Jaeger is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of British Columbia. His research interests include integrated-optics, fiber-optics, optical sensors, optical measurement of voltage and current in power substations, ultrahigh-speed electro-optic modulators, and ultrahigh-speed measurement techniques. He has been affiliated with the university since 1989 and has contributed to various research projects, including silicon on insulator (SOI) based nanophotonics. Jaeger holds a BSc degree from the University of the Pacific, and MASc and PhD degrees from UBC, all in Electrical Engineering. His work has been recognized through several awards and contributions to both undergraduate and graduate education.
