Sathish Gopalakrishnan

Sathish Gopalakrishnan is an Associate Professor and Associate Head, Undergraduate Affairs, in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of British Columbia. His research interests include real-time systems, distributed systems, and resource management. He is a member of the Institute for Computing, Information, and Cognitive Systems and a Faculty Fellow at St. John’s College. Dr. Gopalakrishnan is also the Chapter Chair for the Vancouver Chapter of the IEEE Computer Society and a member of the Executive Committee for the IEEE Technical Committee on Real-Time Systems. He teaches courses such as CPEN 221, CPEN 400X, and EECE 513.

Sathish Gopalakrishnan is a researcher in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at The University of British Columbia. His research explores the design and analysis of systems that integrate computational and physical components, ensuring reliability and fault tolerance. He has published on topics such as quantum behaved optimization, wireless fingerprinting, and trust-based information dissemination. His work addresses challenges in dependability, energy efficiency, and real-time performance in complex systems.
