Regular biography
Dr. George T. Geis is a faculty member at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he teaches in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, entrepreneurship, and accounting. He has been recognized as Outstanding Teacher of the Year at UCLA Anderson five times. Dr. Geis has also served as associate dean and faculty director of the Executive MBA program and faculty director of the Merg. and Acquisitions Executive program. His research interests include market modeling for M&A-related strategies and the use of visualization and AI-related technologies for strategic analysis. Dr. Geis has taught at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, Trinity Business School in Dublin, Ireland, Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, and the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He is the author of several books, including 'Semi-Organic Growth,' which analyzes Google's innovative approach to M&A. Dr. Geis received a B.S. in mathematics from Purdue University, an MBA from UCLA Anderson, and a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.
