Eugene M. Caruso Bing (’86) and Alice Liu Yang Endowed Term

Eugene M. Caruso is a professor in the Management and Organizations and Behavioral Decision Making areas at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He holds the Bing (’86) and Alice Liu Yang Endowed Term Chair in Teaching Excellence and serves as Faculty Co-Director of the Inclusive Ethics Initiative. His research focuses on the psychology of judgment and decision making, with an emphasis on understanding how people perceive past and future events and their implications for moral and ethical decision making. Caruso's academic career includes positions at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Harvard University, where he earned his Ph.D. in social psychology. His work explores how individuals and groups make decisions, often highlighting the role of intuition, feedback, and systematic testing in improving decision-making processes.
