Akiko Iwasaki

Akiko Iwasaki is the Waldemar Von Zedtwitz Professor of Immunobiology and Professor of Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology at Yale University. She is also an Investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Her research interests include arboviruses, autophagy, central nervous system viral diseases, DNA viruses, encephalitis, herpes simplex, immune system mechanisms, inflammasomes, influenza, molecular biology, pneumonia, pregnancy complications, proviruses, RNA viruses, sexually transmitted diseases, and tumor virus infections. She is affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine and the Department of Immunobiology.

Akiko Iwasaki is a researcher at Yale University and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, focusing on viral infection and immunity, particularly anti-tumor immunity. Her work explores the interplay between innate and adaptive immune responses, with a focus on Toll-like receptors and their role in recognizing viral pathogens.
