Amy Bilton

Amy Bilton is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto. Her research interests include energy systems; water purification and desalination; design for the developing world; computer-aided design methods; design optimization under uncertainty; and control system design. She is the Director of the Center for Global Engineering (CGEN) and leads the Water and Energy Research Laboratory (WERL), focusing on innovative water and energy technologies aimed at improving lives globally. Her work involves collaborations with industry and NGOs in various countries. She holds a PhD and MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT, as well as a BASc in Engineering Science (Aerospace) from the University of Toronto.
