Cristina H. Amon is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto. Her research interests include nanoscale thermal transport, thermofluids, clean energy systems, electric vehicle and battery thermal management, and regenerative medicine, hemodynamics, and transport in biomedical systems. She is affiliated with the Advanced Thermal/Fluid Optimization, Modelling and Simulation (ATOMS) Lab. Her work focuses on computational fluid dynamics and multidisciplinary multi-scale hierarchical modelling, with applications to thermal management of electronics, electric vehicles, renewable energy, and biomedical devices. She is also the founding chair of the Global Engineering Deans Council.
