Jason Bazylak

Jason Bazylak is a Professor, Teaching Stream, in the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto. He coordinates an award-winning first-year design course titled Engineering Strategies and Practice. His research focuses on reducing the under-representation of women and Indigenous people in engineering. He serves as the Dean’s Advisor on Indigenous Initiatives and was recently awarded the Hart Teaching Innovative Professorship for his work to increase engineering engagement with Indigenous students and communities. He has experience as a manufacturing engineer and previously worked as an engineering co-operative education coordinator and engineer-in-residence at the University of Victoria.

Jason Bazylak is an engineering education researcher at the University of Toronto, focusing on enhancing teaching and learning in engineering contexts.
