Eric Zaslow is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Northwestern University. He received his PhD in physics from Harvard University in 1995 and joined the Northwestern mathematics department in 1998. Zaslow served as department chair from 2018 to 2021 and was appointed the Henry Sanborn Noyes Chair in Mathematics in 2022. His research focuses on mathematical questions arising from duality symmetries in physics, particularly string theory and mirror symmetry. He has explored connections between sheaf theory, symplectic topology, and cluster varieties. Zaslow has held visiting positions at several institutions and has contributed to initiatives aimed at broadening participation in mathematics.
