Regular biography
Benjamin Antieau is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Northwestern University. He received his PhD from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2010 and held postdoctoral positions at UCLA and the University of Washington before joining the University of Illinois at Chicago as a faculty member. Antieau became a professor at Northwestern in 2020. His research focuses on Brauer groups, derived algebraic geometry, and algebraic K-theory. In 2021, he was awarded a Simons Fellowship, and in 2022, he was elected a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society.
