Ben Weinkove

Ben Weinkove is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Northwestern University. He received his PhD from Columbia University in 2004 and joined Northwestern in 2013. Prior to this, he held positions as a Benjamin Peirce Assistant Professor at Harvard University, a Royal Society Research Assistant at Imperial College London, and a faculty member at the University of California, San Diego. Weinkove served as Chair of the Mathematics Department from 2021 to 2024 and was named the Madan Lal Puri Professor of Mathematics in 2024. His research focuses on elliptic and parabolic partial differential equations, geometric analysis, and complex geometry. He was awarded an Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship in 2008 and became a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society in 2017.
