Yuchen Liu

Yuchen Liu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Northwestern University. He received his PhD from Princeton University in 2017 and held positions as a Gibbs Assistant Professor at Yale University and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Princeton University. Liu joined Northwestern's faculty in 2021. His research focuses on algebraic geometry, with particular attention to Fano varieties, K-stability, moduli spaces, and singularities. He was named a 2022 Alfred P. Sloan Fellow.
