Regular biography
Dr Ylva Baeckström is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at King's Business School, King's College London. Her research and teaching interests include behavioural finance, entrepreneurship, investment decision making, and financial advice, with a focus on gender and inequality in the financial services industry. She has worked in large international banks and was previously the CEO of a Fintech start-up. Dr Baeckström is also a psychotherapist and has published research on gender bias in finance, including her book 'Gender Bias and Finance: Addressing Inequality in the Financial Services Industry'. She collaborates with financial services institutions and is affiliated with the Swedish Centre for Sustainable Finance and the ESRC Centre for Society and Mental Health.
