Regular biography
Dr Michael Amior is a Reader in Economics at King’s Business School, King's College London. His research interests include regional inequality, the labour market effects of immigration, and firms’ wage-setting and hiring behaviour. His work has been published in journals such as the American Economic Review and the Journal of Labor Economics. Dr Amior joined King’s in 2025 from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Previously, he was a researcher at the Institute for Fiscal Studies and the Centre for Economic Performance, and a college lecturer at the University of Cambridge. He completed his PhD at University College London. Dr Amior is currently accepting new PhD students.
