Regular biography
Dr Karin A King is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management Education at King's College London, affiliated with King's Business School. Her research explores talent management as a set of nested strategic systems, examining the interaction between organisational talent management and external macro talent systems. Her work focuses on talent management as a sustainable competitive practice, considering multiple actors and stakeholders, including diversity, equity, and inclusion. Dr King's teaching and consulting focus on global HR management, leadership and change, strategic talent management, and negotiation. She is also an experienced human resource management practitioner and management consultant, having held senior leadership positions prior to her academic career. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting and the EIASM Annual Symposium on Talent Management.
