Regular biography
Scott Oser is a Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at The University of British Columbia. His research focuses on experimental particle physics, particularly in the areas of dark matter, neutrinos, and statistical methods. He is a member of the SuperCDMS collaboration, where his group is responsible for data acquisition and trigger systems. Oser has also contributed to the T2K and Sudbury Neutrino Observatory (SNO) collaborations. His work includes signal extraction techniques and analyses of solar neutrino flux variations. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master's and Doctoral degree from the University of Chicago. Oser is affiliated with the Particle and Nuclear Physics research area.
