Alison Lister

Alison Lister is a Professor/Graduate Chair in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at The University of British Columbia. Her research focuses on energy frontier physics, particularly within the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. Her work includes top quark measurements, beyond the Standard Model physics, dark matter and hidden sector searches, and the application of machine learning in particle physics. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from St John's College, University of Oxford, and a Doctoral degree from ETH Zurich. She has been employed at UBC since 2023, holding various ranks including Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. She is also a Canada Research Chair in Particle Physics (Tier 2) from 2013 to 2024.
