Michael Hasinoff

Michael Hasinoff is a Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at The University of British Columbia. His research focuses on experimental subatomic physics and low-energy particle physics, with an emphasis on searching for physics beyond the Standard Model, including the search for the Dark Matter Boson X(17). He is involved in international collaborations such as DarkLight at TRIUMF, where he contributes to the Fast trigger scintillator system and data acquisition. Hasinoff has held various academic positions at UBC since 1985 and has been actively engaged in research and service activities within the physics community.
