Joerg Rottler

Joerg Rottler is a Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at The University of British Columbia. His research focuses on condensed matter and computational physics, with particular interests in nonequilibrium statistical physics, polymer science, and the deformation and flow of disordered solids. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Universitaet Konstanz, Germany, and a Doctoral degree from Johns Hopkins University. Rottler has held various academic positions, including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor at UBC since 2016. His work has been recognized with awards such as the APS Outstanding Referee and the UBC Killam Faculty Research Fellowship.
