Carl Michal

Carl Michal is a Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at The University of British Columbia. His research focuses on biophysics, with an emphasis on biological and energy storage materials, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and NMR instrumentation. His work includes studies on relaxation and magnetization transfer in brain tissue, nano-crystalline cellulose, and ionic polymer gel devices. Michal also develops NMR methods and instrumentation, particularly using low-cost software defined radio technology.
