Thomas F. Budinger is a Professor in Residence Emeritus in the Department of EE at the University of California, Berkeley. His research interests include Biosystems & Computational Biology (BIO) and Control, Intelligent Systems, and Robotics (CIR). He has contributed to biomedial imaging instrumentation and image analysis, biomonitoring, magnetic resonance imaging, and emission tomography. Budinger's work has been recognized with numerous honors and awards, including election to the National Academy of Engineering in 1996. He is also affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
