Jessica Boles is the Chenming Hu Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, and Co-Director of the Berkeley Power and Energy Center. Her research interests span power electronic circuit topologies, control, and applications, as well as passive component design and fabrication. Her group is currently pursuing new power conversion strategies based on piezoelectric passive components to enable major advances in the performance, size, and cost of power electronics for a wide variety of electronic and energy systems. She teaches courses in power electronics design and is affiliated with the Power and Energy (ENE), Integrated Circuits (INC), Micro/Nano Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS), and Physical Electronics (PHY) research areas.
