Björn Hartmann is an Associate Professor in the EECS Department at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Programming Systems (PS), and Graphics (GR). Hartmann's work explores user interface design tools, end-user programming environments, and crowdsourcing systems. He has received several awards, including an Okawa Research Grant, an NSF CAREER Award, and a Sloan Research Fellowship. His research is associated with multiple centers at UC Berkeley, including the Berkeley Center for New Media (BCNM) and the Banatao Institute.
