Won-Ki Cho

Won-Ki Cho is an Associate Professor in the BIO department at KAIST. His research focuses on Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics. Won-Ki Cho is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at KAIST, South Korea. His research focuses on biophysics, physics, biology, and chemistry, with an emphasis on understanding the dynamics of transcriptional processes and their impact on gene expression. His work explores how transcriptional condensates, formed through RNA polymerase II clustering, influence mRNA output and gene regulation in living cells. Additionally, he investigates the role of physical forces in chromatin dynamics and transcriptional regulation. His research also includes the development of advanced imaging techniques and computational tools to analyze molecular interactions in real-time.
