Regular biography

Ingie Hong is an Assistant Professor in the BIO department at KAIST. Her research interests include Brain Science, Molecular Biology, Physiology, Artificial intelligence, Gene therapy, and Computational Neuroscience. She leads the Quantitative Intelligence Lab (QI-Lab) at KAIST, focusing on deciphering the molecular code of intelligence through a multidisciplinary approach. Her work combines advanced imaging, electrophysiology, and molecular biology to study the neural and molecular mechanisms underlying intelligence and neurological disorders. Hong's lab is dedicated to translating basic science into therapeutic strategies, including the development of gene therapy approaches for intellectual disabilities.
