Regular biography
Professor Xiaodong Xu is a faculty member in the Department of Accounting at the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He teaches advanced courses including Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Multinational Financial Management. His research explores the role of accounting information in capital markets, with a focus on accounting conservatism, earnings management, corporate governance, environmental management, and securities market regulation. His work has appeared in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics, International Review of Financial Analysis, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Business Strategy and the Environment, Journal of Cleaner Production, China Accounting and Finance Review, and China Finance Review International, as well as top Chinese-language journals including Economic Research Journal and China Accounting Review. He brings an international perspective through visiting appointments at Columbia Business School and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
