Zhi LU

Dr. Zhi LU is a Professor at Peking University's School of Life Sciences. Her research spans zoology, ecology, conservation biology, and the intersection of natural resource conservation with sustainable development. She is the founder of the Shanshui Conservation Center and Peking University's Center for Nature and Society. Her work focuses on flagship species such as the giant panda and snow leopard, and their ecosystems in Southwest China and the Tibetan Plateau. She has extended her research to urban and agricultural landscapes, establishing a long-term research base in Medog County, Tibet.
