Regular biography
Bo ZHANG is a Professor in the School of Life Sciences at Peking University. His research focuses on the genetic, cellular, and molecular mechanisms of heart development and regeneration, as well as the development of genome editing technologies such as CRISPR/Cas and TALENs. He utilizes zebrafish as a model organism to study these processes and to model human diseases. Dr. ZHANG has contributed to numerous publications in prestigious journals, including the Journal of Genetics and Genomics and Nature Communications. He has also been involved in the development of single-cell transcriptomics and functional genomics approaches. His work has been supported by various grants and has led to significant advances in understanding vertebrate embryogenesis and organ regeneration.
