Regular biography

Yuxian ZHU is a Professor at Peking University, School of Life Sciences, Department of BIO. His research focuses on two major areas: large-scale cloning and analysis of genes involved in early cotton fiber development, and regulatory mechanisms of transcription factors in Arabidopsis shoot and root meristem development. His laboratory has employed techniques such as RDA and cDNA microarrays to identify genes related to early cotton fiber development and has explored the role of plant hormones and transcription factors in plant growth. The lab is also engaged in the cloning and expression analysis of several gene families in Arabidopsis.
