Xuemei CHEN

Xuemei Chen is a Professor at Peking University's School of Life Sciences. She received her B.S. degree in biology from Peking University in 1988 and a doctorate in biochemistry from Cornell University in 1995. After postdoctoral training at the California Institute of Technology, she joined the Waksman Institute at Rutgers University as an assistant professor in 1999, later becoming associate professor in 2005 and full professor in 2009. She moved to the University of California, Riverside in 2005, where she was promoted to distinguished professor in 2013. Since February 2023, she has served as Chair Professor and Dean at Peking University's School of Life Sciences. Her research focuses on flower development, small RNAs, and RNA modifications in plants.

Xuemei Chen is a Professor of Biology at Peking University, specializing in RNA biology.
