Wensheng WEI

Wensheng Wei is a Professor at Peking University's School of Life Sciences. His research focuses on gene editing and gene therapy, with an emphasis on high-throughput functional genomics and the molecular mechanisms of human diseases. He has held various investigator positions at Peking University, including roles at the Beijing Advanced Innovation Center for Genomics and the Biomedical Institute for Pioneering Investigation via Convergence. Wei has also served as a Research Associate and Postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine. His work includes studies on circular RNAs, chromatin organization, and CRISPR-based technologies. He has received multiple awards, including the Beijing Science & Technology Award and the Peking University Teaching Award.
