Regular biography
Dr. Shiqiang WANG is a Professor at Peking University, School of Life Sciences, Department of BIO. His research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of intracellular Ca2+ signaling, utilizing advanced techniques such as confocal imaging, single-channel patch clamping, and molecular cell biology to investigate Ca2+ dynamics in heart function and dysfunction. Dr. Wang received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Peking University and completed postdoctoral research at the National Institute on Aging, NIH. He has been affiliated with Peking University since 1990 and has held various academic positions, including Lecturer, Associate Professor, and Professor. His work has been published in prominent journals such as Nature, PNAS, and Circulation Research.
