Hong WU

Dr. Hong Wu is a Professor at Peking University's School of Life Sciences, where she serves as Chair Professor and Dean. She is also a Senior Investigator at the PKU-Tsinghua Center for Life Sciences and a Senior Investigator at Shenzhen Bay Laboratory. Dr. Wu's research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of PTEN tumor suppressor-controlled tumorigenesis, including the role of PTEN in stem cell regulation and the PI3K pathway. Her work has contributed to preclinical studies of therapeutic agents and biomarker identification for prostate cancers. Dr. Wu received her medical training from Beijing Medical College and her PhD in Biological Chemistry from Harvard Medical School. She previously held leadership roles at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, including Director of the Institute for Molecular Medicine.
