Professor John Durrell

Professor John Durrell is a Professor of Superconductor Engineering in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. His research interests include Materials Engineering, Superconductors, Critical Currents, and Energy Technology, with a focus on the structure and properties of the Flux Line Lattice in superconductors. His work spans experimental condensed matter physics to the commercialisation of practical superconducting materials. He has held research positions at the University of Linz and the University of Cambridge, and has been a Senior Research Associate in the Bulk Superconductivity Group since October 2010. He is also a Fellow and Assistant Director of Studies for 1A Engineering at Pembroke College.
