Jonathan Cullen

Jonathan Cullen is a Professor of Sustainable Engineering at the University of Cambridge, Department of ME. His research focuses on resource system mapping, energy and material flow analysis, demand reduction, energy conversion, and energy storage. He leads the Resource Efficiency Collective and has expertise in developing new metrics to reflect energy and material consequences of materials production. Cullen is involved in several research projects, including the US$4M C-THRU project and the UKFIRES program grant. He is also a Lead Author for the IPCC AR6 Industry Chapter and has co-authored the book 'Sustainable Materials: with both eyes open'. His work includes collaborations with industry partners such as BP, Emerson, and Tatasteel.
