John Clarkson

John Clarkson is a Professor of Engineering Design at the University of Cambridge, Department of ME. His research interests focus on engineering design, particularly the development of design methodologies to address specific design issues such as process management, change management, healthcare design, and inclusive design. He is Director of the Cambridge Engineering Design Centre (EDC) and Co-director of Cambridge Public Health. His work includes improving patient safety in healthcare through systems engineering and promoting inclusive design to create more accessible products and services. Clarkson has published over 800 papers and authored several books on medical equipment design and process management.
