Tim Coombs is a Professor of Electromagnetism in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Cambridge. His research interests include Electrical Power and Energy Conversion, Superconductivity, magnetism, renewable power generation, MRI, NMR, FCL, motors and generators. He leads the Electrical Power and Energy Conversion (EPEC) superconductivity group, which has developed significant expertise in superconductivity research and has contributed to several notable firsts in the field.
