Dr Iman Tavakkolnia

Dr Iman Tavakkolnia is an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering at the University of Cambridge, Department of Engineering. His research focuses on Wireless communication, Optical wireless communication, Energy Efficiency of Communication Networks, and Satellite Communication. He explores Optical Wireless Communication (OWC) to enhance energy efficiency in telecommunication systems, with applications spanning short-range indoor scenarios to long-range inter-satellite links. His work intersects communication theory, advanced materials, signal processing, and photonics.
