Professor Tawfique Hasan

Professor Tawfique Hasan is a Professor of NanoEngineering at the University of Cambridge, affiliated with the Department of Electrical Engineering. His research interests include NanoEngineering, Intelligent Sensors, Miniaturised optoelectronics, Hardware-software Fusion, Layered Nanomaterials, and Functional Inks. He leads a research group at the Cambridge Graphene Centre and holds a Professorial Fellowship at Churchill College, Cambridge. Prof Hasan obtained his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cambridge in 2009, an MEng in Analog Microelectronics from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology, Bangladesh. He has held several research positions at the University, including a Junior Research Fellowship in King's College, Cambridge, and various fellowships. He is an Editor of Advanced Photonics and a Fellow of Optica.

Additionally, he investigates ultrafast lasers and tunable photonic devices, emphasizing the potential of nanomaterials for next-generation sensing and communication technologies.
