Frederick Ziegler

Frederick Ziegler is a Professor Emeritus of Chemistry at Yale University, affiliated with the Department of Chemistry. He has been a member of the Yale faculty since 1965 and is currently not accepting lab members. His research interests focus on the development and use of radical reactions in organic synthesis. Ziegler earned his B.S. from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1960, followed by M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Columbia University in 1961 and 1964, respectively. He has contributed to various publications in organic chemistry, including studies on radical cyclization and synthesis of complex molecules.
