Scott Strobel
Regular biography
Scott Strobel is the Provost and Henry Ford II Professor of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry and Professor of Chemistry at Yale University. He is affiliated with the Department of Chemistry and holds the title of Howard Hughes Medical Institute Professor. His research interests include Chemical Biology, Biophysical Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. His work focuses on RNA biochemistry and the investigation of novel endophytic fungi associated with rainforest plants. The RNA analysis involves studies of the ribosome and riboswitches, aiming to understand RNA's role in chemical reactions and RNA-small molecule interactions. His research also explores fungal natural products and their bioactivity.
