Yatish G. Turakhia

Yatish G. Turakhia is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of California, San Diego. His research focuses on computer architecture and computational biology, with an emphasis on developing algorithms and hardware accelerators to enhance biological data processing. Turakhia joined UC San Diego in July 2021. Previously, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Genomics Institute at UC Santa Cruz. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2019 and his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2014.
