Abdoulaye Ndao

Abdoulaye Ndao is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. His research focuses on nanophotonics, integrated optics, nanomaterial/structure design, and bio photonics. The NDAO Lab employs a multidisciplinary approach to develop prototype devices in both passive and active optical systems. Prior to joining UC San Diego, Dr. Ndao was an assistant professor at Boston University from 2020 to 2023 and previously served as a postdoctoral researcher at UC San Diego and UC Berkeley. He holds Masters and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Franche Comte (France).
