Pamela C. Cosman is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, San Diego. Her research focuses on image and video compression for transmission over wireless, Internet, and other telecommunications networks, as well as image and video processing, computer vision, and video quality evaluation. She addresses challenges in mobile video transmission, including high-quality video delivery under noise, interference, and limited bandwidth.
