Paul Wender is the Francis W. Bergstrom Professor and Professor, by courtesy, of Chemical and Systems Biology at Stanford University's Department of CHEM. His research focuses on the Chemistry-Biology Interface, Materials Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Theoretical Chemistry. The Wender Group addresses challenges in chemistry, biology, medicine, and materials science through innovative computational tools, reactions, and design strategies. His work leverages collaborations with the Medical School, Imaging Center, and other programs to tackle issues in biology and medicine, including HIV/AIDS, cancer, and Alzheimer's disease. Wender received his B.S. from Wilkes College and Ph.D. in chemistry from Yale University. He was an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at Columbia University and has held faculty positions at Harvard University and Stanford University.
