Regular biography
Lee Hyunsook is a Professor in the Department of BIO at Seoul National University. Her research focuses on cell biology, developmental biology, genetics, genomics, molecular biology, and the roles of the tumor suppressor BRCA2 in DNA repair and cell cycle control. She also investigates mitosis regulation, chromosome instability in cancer, telomere maintenance, and cancer susceptibility. Lee has developed mouse and zebrafish models for CIN-type cancer and has contributed to understanding BRCA2's interactions with telomeric G-quadruplexes. Her work has been published in journals such as Developmental Cell, Journal of Biological Chemistry, and Nature Communications. She is affiliated with the Laboratory of Cancer Cell Biology and can be contacted via email at hl212@snu.ac.kr or her website at https://biosci.snu.ac.kr/en/people/faculty?mode=view&profidx=34.
