Regular biography
Baek Daehyun is a Professor in the Department of BIO at Seoul National University. His research focuses on computational biology and bioinformatics, with an emphasis on the application of artificial intelligence and deep learning in biology and medicine. His work includes the use of deep neural networks for RNA biology and cancer genomics, as well as large-scale sequence analysis and noncoding genome research. He is also involved in disease genomics, particularly in the integrated analysis of multi-omics data for disease genome, transcriptome, and proteome studies. Baek has contributed to the development of software for disease genome analysis, including cancer and diabetes. His academic career at Seoul National University began in 2010, where he has held the rank of Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor.
